The Yamaha UX3 is a premium upright piano that were built in Japan through the 1980s as an alternative to the standard U3. It is highly regarded for its signature X-bracing back, which provides superior tuning stability, enhanced resonance, and a rich tone. It is a very durable and long lasting instrument.
The X-bracing is its most distinctive feature and offers increased structural stability over the standard U series pianos. It also features a higher quality spruce soundboard. The longer bass strings are achieved by a curved bridge design. The hammers have been improved with higher grade felt.
There are also the regular features such as 88 keys, brass fittings and 3 pedals. The action is also light, quick, balanced and responsive. Our piano also has the expected rich colourful tone of a rich bass and clear treble.
It stands at 131cm tall. 154cm long and 65cm deep. Our piano here is finished in high gloss black.
Yamaha no longer make this model with the X-brace probably due to high production costs, and our instruments are solely available as refurbished pianos.
