Introduction. Yamaha is of course one of the most famous manufacturers of quality musical instruments. Their attention to detail and quality is very much in the top rank of piano builders and has been for many years. The UX pianos are special pianos featuring that X-frame rear bracing, rather than straight posts. It adds rigidity to the structure which enhances the sound as well as stability of its tuning.
The Piano. The UX10 takes the benchmark U1 piano but with many added benefits. It also uses higher grade woods and felts on the hammers and dampers. The bridge and string layout allows this piano to have slightly longer strings for a better bass sound. The cabinet keeps its simple elegant design. As we all know these versatile instruments are in many ways the perfect piano, ideal for beginners right through to advanced musicians. The UX models are relativley rare and therefore a sought after models, this one is from 1989. Our lovely piano has the typical Yamaha action which is very satisfying to use and a wonderfully open, clear tone that is not too bright, sweetly singing and capable of great power.
The U1 measures at 121cm tall, 151cm long and 62cm deep. It has 88 keys and 3 pedals.
